Letter: Wrong engine

I read with interest the article about the new Riverside Museum in Glasgow (2 June). However, the locomotive in the picture in the article is not the South African Railways locomotive 3007 as stated in the caption; it is the Highland Railway Jones Goods locomotive No 103.

This locomotive was the first with a 4-6-0 wheel configuration to run on a British railway and its other claim to fame is its appearance in the 1965 film Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines as the locomotive pulling the train on which Terry-Thomas inadvertently lands his Avro Triplane.

The replica streets of old Glasgow look interesting. They make one think of present-day Edinburgh with the tram tracks and the trams that are permanently static.
