Letter: Sustaining faith

It is far from "reasonable to infer from Rev Robertson's point of view that God saved the Chilean miners because of their faith in him" (Letters, 21 October).

I was simply pointing out that the miners' faith was something that sustained and helped them through the crisis.

Unfortunately, too many atheists spend far too much time arguing against their own caricatured fundamentalist view of religion. Life (and theology) is a little more complex than that.
