Letter: Sporting chance

WHAT a sad life people like "Disappointed from Berwick" (aka Hazel Miller, Letters, 21 July) must lead. Far from deploring your front page photograph of a tipsy-looking Darren Clarke, it made my wife's and my day.

What a refreshing change it was from the usual grim remoteness exhibited by most of our dour top sportsmen. Indeed, I could more than match Darren's bibulous bemusement by breaking 90!
