Letter: Something fishy

To MY horror I have discovered there is a plan to move the English fish, vendace and schelly, from English lakes into Scottish lochs.

This is yet more English eco-lunacy. We all know what happened when well-intentioned introductions - grey squirrels, mink and even wallabies - went wrong.

Either these English fish will breed like rabbits, displacing all the native fish, or (like some English) they'll shiver in a corner moaning about the weather. And then what will the eco-lunatics do? Ethnically cleanse the Scottish lochs to stop the genetically inferior English fish dying out?

After three severe winters, with some of the coldest weather on record, the M8 at a standstill, government ministers resigning and solar activity at a lifetime low, how much longer do we have to put up with this nonsense?
