Letter: Sale dismay

WE WERE appalled to read (your report, 25 March) that Napier University has sold its historic Craighouse site in Edinburgh to developers.

Notwithstanding the proposed conversion of the A-listed historic buildings, we note with utter dismay the intention to create "mid-sized housing and family homes" on a campus which is a wonderful green lung in the heart of Morningside.

It is used for recreation, and much appreciated, by many local residents of all ages for activities ranging from sledging to chatting on a bench and admiring the view.

Will no-one save us from developers and the proliferation of little boxes?
