Letter: Roar of disapproval over Tattoo attitude

TATTOO marketing manager Alan Smith's arrogant attitude towards the flypast of jets over Edinburgh Zoo beggars belief (News, 15 August) He seems to think that just because he has given notice to the zoo that it is to happen the responsibility is that of the zoo to make arrangements to protect the animals. What are they supposed to do, and who is going to pay for it?

Edinburgh Zoo's response should be to give Mr Smith notice that they intend to set free some of their more dangerous animals on the Castle esplanade during the Tattoo, some lions perhaps plus a couple of tigers to back them up - having given them notice that would be OK then.
