Letter: Reports on Moat irresponsible

PRIOR to Raoul Moat's death, both broadcast and print media made extensive reference to him as a killer and reported serious allegations against him as fact.

His early demise will have come as a relief to prosecution authorities in Northumberland aghast at the prospect of his escaping justice by successfully claiming the impossibility of a fair trial due to the poisoning of the minds of potential jurors by these irresponsible and unprofessional statements.
