Letter: Release the facts

IT IS most disturbing to learn that the anti-Gaddafi Libyan rebels have now joined the majority of the people of Scotland, many of the Lockerbie victims' families and the United States and British governments in being openly critical of the SNP justice minister's decision to let Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi go free on compassionate grounds.

As the second anniversary of the release of the convicted bomber approaches, would it not go some way to alleviate the distress caused to so many by releasing, even at this late date, of all the medical evidence on which Kenny MacAskill based his decision.
