Letter: Powering up

In light of recent correspondence on nuclear power, I see that China has been looking at Westinghouse reactors and has decided to build four by 2011. It also building two Russian reactors. The programme now is for a further 132 reactors in 20 years.

Meanwhile, the Russians are building "mini" reactors, which can be floated in a barge. These produce 125MW. Russia has had orders from 12 countries.

What must they think of the Scottish psychoceramicas, who are going to counter the coming cooling with mediaeval monstrosities?
