Jesus Steuart Campbell's assertion (Letters, 3 June) that "Christianity was founded by Paul of Tarsus" might sound like the exciting conclusion of the latest scholarship, but it does not fit the facts. Jesus himself dispatched his followers to "make disciples" and that is exactly what they did, starting the Christian church in the process.
