Letter: Pentlands plaque to Nobel winner

I FOUND the article on CTR Wilson (News, 8 May) very interesting. Walking in the Pentlands I often pass a plaque commemorating him and idly wondered what a cloud chamber was, but had no idea of its significance.

The plaque is set into the wall on the right of the path which runs from Flotterstone car park to join the Glen Road. It records that he was a Companion of Honour as well as a Nobel Laureate.
