Letter: Pension lagging jobless benefits

I NOTE in your article titled "New benefits 'to make work pay' for jobless" (News, 20 February) that benefits will be capped at £25,000 annually. I look forward to the day when I receive a letter telling me that the combined pension for my wife and myself is to be £25,000. This would mean a welcome large increase in our income.
