Letter: Peaceful protest

I have enjoyed and appreciated the research done for the In Our Time series.

One picture made me angry though (21 January). It is typical of newsmen to choose a picture of policemen to represent 4 July, 2005.

Do you not know that there were 250,000 good-natured Make Poverty History campaigners from all over the country marching through the centre of Edinburgh that day?

I know that there were many splendid, positive images to choose from. Why choose the negative one?
