Letter: Party donations

Andrew Gray (Letters, 16 February) is of the opinion that it is totally wrong of the SNP to receive a donation from Brian Souter for electioneering purposes prior to the May election.

Of course Mr Gray's tinted glasses do not allow him to see anything wrong in the Labour Party's jiggery-pokery while the then Chancellor Gordon Brown donated tens of millions of taxpayers' money to the unions. In return the unions donated millions to Labour's coffers, yet find themselves up to their neck in debt.

After 13 years of Labour rule it is little wonder that the nation is now on the brink of bankruptcy.
