Letter: Outrageous art

Words cannot express the anger that half a million pounds of lottery money is being flushed down the toilet for "artist" Craig Coulthard to build two supposed replicas of Third Lanark's ruined Cathkin Park in the middle of nowhere for a one-day luvvies' beanie before leaving it to rot (your report, 19 May).

For that money, the real Cathkin Park could have been restored into the planned "living museum" of football that would put Third Lanark, Glasgow and Scotland on the cultural as well as sporting map for all time, as innovative as Beamish or New Lanark, and a mecca for football fans the world over.

Holyrood should look into Creative Scotland's part in this.
