Letter: Olympic waste

When the lottery fund was raided to help bail out the London 2012 Olympic Games, we were assured that the whole of the UK would benefit from its legacy. There are now proposals to demolish the £500 million Olympic Stadium and allow a London football team to build. Can anyone explain how such waste can be of benefit to the UK as a whole?
