Letter: News agenda

Further to Joan McAlpine's article on the BBC's Anglocentric tendencies (Perspective, 24 May) now that the SNP has as many parliamentarians as the Lib Dems have throughout the UK then the party is surely entitled to equal representation on such "national" UK-wide programmes as Question Time and on other prime time news and current affairs programmes.

However, it is not just the BBC in London to blame as BBC Scotland also falls into the trap of not distinguishing between UK and Scottish Governments or between UK and Scottish Cabinet Secretaries when covering news stories.
