Letter: Negative politics

The united forces of Labour, Liberal Democrat and Conservative MSPs have recently shown their strength by preventing any alleviation of the scourge of drink in Scotland and by ignoring the plight of people who suffered in the snowstorms in order to hound the Minister for Transport from office.

In the run-up to the Holyrood elections on 5 May we will see more of such negative activity on the part of the "Scottish" unionist parties.

Perhaps it is time for them to show the voters the reality of their united aim - holding back progress towards Scottish independence - and to conclude a formal, ConDem/Labour, opposition coalition with the slogan "Keep Scotland British".
