Letter: Murky meddling

Once again, it would seem an SNP minister finds great difficulty in distinguishing between party and even personal interests and the interests of Scotland. Perhaps, like his leader, Michael Russell is beginning to think the SNP and Scotland are freely interchangeable words.

Whatever the case, his meddling in Argyll and Bute Council's proposed closure of schools is most disturbing (your report, 5 January). The SNP group there reversed its line overnight after the now-uncovered e-mails from Mr Russell. There's a bit of murkiness about the whole affair.
