Letter: Lawrence never saw World War II

VERY interesting article on Churchill's Rollers on 15 August. However, Lawrence of Arabia, TE Lawrence, died some years before the outbreak of the second world war. He campaigned in the 1914-1918 conflict in and around Palestine and the desert, before changing his name and joining the RAF as an ordinary serviceman.
