Letter: Lads' mags
I WAS horrified - yet not surprised - to read that the public petitions committee researchers had found that so many shops were displaying "lads' mags" within easy view of young children (your report, 17 March).
I'm not a prude but I don't even feel comfortable seeing the more explicit magazines on display on the top shelves. It embarrasses me.
I can't believe anyone with a working brain could argue that normalising this kind of objectification of women is a good idea.
