Letter: Keep religion out of rugby reports

FIRSTLY I would like to say that I have no issue with the performance of sportsmen on the field being subject to both the public's and journalists' comments and criticisms.

After the Scotland and Wales game on Saturday and a lacklustre display by the Scotland team, your summary hit the mark on so many levels. However, I has horrified that the comments about Euan Murray's game featured his religious beliefs and hinted at the fact that he will not play on a Sunday. Have we really come to that point in British society that a person's beliefs are ridiculed by a national paper. Live and let live and keep the comments on the sports page to sport only.
