Letter: Inspection flaws
The Inspectorate of Education has a tremendous influence in the delivery of education in Scottish schools. After inspections headteachers and staff work very hard confirming examples of good practice and eliminating areas of weakness that have been identified.
The system, however, would still seem to be failing a significant number of youngsters.
Where in any of the debate/recommendations (your report, 13 January) is there any recognition that the inspectorate itself may in some way be responsible for this failure?
