Letter: Hornby off track

I was encouraged to read the various comments in response to my letter (Banker's advice, 21 May). In another Scotsman article, (Opinion, 22 May) we learn that Andy Hornby earned £2 million in pay and benefits after nine months in his new job as head of Alliance Boots. Not bad indeed for someone who will forever be associated with the collapse of HBOS.

As boss of Alliance Boots, I wonder if he is entitled to a staff discount? In the unlikely event that he suffers the odd sleepless night over the suffering he caused so many people when he tried to be a banker, he should be able to find a potion or two on the shelves of his new shop.

I for one will vote with my feet and Alliance Boots will not enjoy my custom as long as Andy Hornby is at the helm.
