Letter: Have a laugh at Trinidad rum ad

I AM a Scot who has been living in Trinidad for many years. Any Scotsmen who are offended by the advertisement about "Men in skirts" (News, 6 February) should buy a real dress and drink some tea. The Scotsmen I have known here have a great sense of humour and love the local culture, which includes the "picong" (banter, usually at someone else's expense).

We also love rum. There is a place in the world for both rum and whisky. Equally Trinidad and Tobago is a country - which I can happily personally attest to - where many local girls welcome a dance with a Scotsman in a kilt.

To paraphrase the T&T national anthem - "For every dress and taste, there is an equal place".
