Letter: Gay 'admission'

You report (20 December) that senior Tory MP Nigel Evans "admits he is gay".

That language should have gone out with the 20th century. A person admits to a mistake or a crime, and Mr Evans being gay is neither.

Good for him for coming out - the world would be an easier place for young LGBT people if all public figures who are LGBT would do the same.
