Letter: Find the killers

IN RESPONSE to your report (8 October) regarding the recent cat poisonings, I am the owner of the other cat mentioned as being killed. Then on Friday morning, I had to rush the second of my cats to the local vet with similar acute poisoning symptoms. Unfortunately, she did not pull through and also died.

I hope to help the SSPCA find the culprit behind these evil acts. Like my neighbour, I, too, had another cat who showed similar symptoms early last year and I now suspect that he fell victim to this person who has taken out a vendetta against cats in the area. I have also had to arrange for my last cat to move home as I do not feel she will be safe living in the neighbourhood any more.

Someone in the neighbourhood is obviously setting traps to entice them to take the poison. I will be doing everything I can to help the SSPCA in their inquiries in order to bring this cruel person to justice, and I would implore anyone who knows anything to contact the local police or SSPCA.
