Letter: A fee to far
IN THESE times of monetary constraints on us all, organisations should be aware that there is a fine line between greed and financial suicide. We fear that the National Gallery of Scotland, by introducing a parking charge at Edinburgh's Dean Gallery of Modern Art, may have crossed that line.
We regularly visit the gallery, enjoy eating in the cafe and we buy from the gift shop. Although the charge for parking is not a large amount, its imposition is insidious and somewhat cheeky.
We will not pay it, so the gallery will no longer benefit from our patronage and revenue.
