Letter: Federal logic
The case for a federal Great Britain (Peter Jones, Perspective, 8 March) may not set the heather on fire, but it is the logical alternative to either the status quo or independence.
I am quite happy to be both Scottish and British and resent any referendum that excludes the third option, obliging me to select between two equally invidious choices.
Switzerland, Canada, Australia and the USA appear to function efficiently and amicably. Why not here, too?
