Letter: Enlightened view

Akhenaton, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad, Marx and Hitler are all much of a muchness and all associated with trouble and strife, with Che Guevara and now Osama bin Laden the latest of the lunatic fringe opposed to hard-won civilisation, peace, law and order.

Better men by far were the men of the 18th century Enlightenment and the founders of the American constitution - a constitution recognised as the last best hope for the world.
