Letter: End of line for TIE

It is academic whether Edinburgh's tram contract was "legally fit for purpose" or not (your report, 24 February) when relationships between TIE and the contractor have broken down to the current calamitous and non-productive name-calling level.

The only way forward is to disband TIE and get some new blood in to negotiate some solutions, otherwise it would be simpler and more cost-effective to abandon the project completely and save further financial pain for the citizens of Edinburgh.
