Letter: Drugs market

Drug turf wars are often to blame for violent incidents.

The solution is to end the unwinnable 40-year war on drugs by legalising all drugs; without the black market there would be nothing to fight about.

Heroin would have to be administered by medical personnel. There are a limited number of doctors licensed to provide heroin to their patients, which exposes the lie that heroin is dangerous.

No doctor is going to administer a drug that would harm his patient, incur a law suit and result in being struck off.

Cannabis would be available at separate establishments, with similar restrictions to alcohol and tobacco to protect minors.

A market garden is a more suitable places to grow cannabis than a modified house. And it can be taxed, thus helping to pay our way out of recession.
