Letter: Cross words

Remind me, before I make another donation to the British Red Cross, to find out how much is being paid by them to Michael Meyer in his position as head of their International law section.

I am more than interested to know how much time (and, therefore, how much charitable money) was spent on sending that ridiculous two-page letter to the Glasgow pantomime at the Pavilion to ensure that the audience did not get confused between the work of the Red Cross and what they were watching on stage (your report, 7 January).

If it was necessary to raise the issue at all, there were other cheaper, easier and more friendly ways of dealing with such a trivial matter. Will the Red Cross tell us how much money was wasted on this stupid action?
