Letter: Climate myths IV

Roy Turnbull complains, in effect, of failure by Messrs Clark Cross and Neil Craig to use “established facts” as the basis of their views expressed on man-made climate changes.

However, the problem is a lack of known, established facts, since the field is so ill-understood. Thus, no-one really knows whether significant global warming is still occurring, or if CO2 has more than small, theoretical importance in influencing changes in atmospheric temperatures.

The western world is committing huge resources to mitigating climate change, but such efforts may well prove to be “fools gold,” and may ruin us. Meanwhile, the biggest CO2 emitters continue to wax wealthy.
