Letter: Christmas fairy

I NOTE that responsibility for climate change, which was originally part of the transport brief, is to be be added to the portfolio of environment minister Roseanna Cunningham (your report, 14 December).

Her title will now be, minister for the environment and climate change. Changing, and even controlling the climate and weather patterns of Scotland will be no easy task and as it is nearly Christmas and the season of good will to all, I have sent the good lady a gift of a fairy wand. I do hope, as and when it arrives on her desk, weather permitting of course, it will be accepted in the spirit intended, and used wisely.
