Letter: Chinese elements

Money isn't "thorny problem" for the government in creating Scotland as the "Saudi Arabia of renewables" (Comment, 15 September).

Is the First Minister negotiating with China for security of supply of rare earth elements like lanthanum and terbium? Apparently they are vital in electronics and green technologies but significantly 95 per cent of world supply comes from China.
