Letter: Chaytor sentence

SO, AS a non-violent offender, disgraced former MP David Chaytor may be released as early as May from his 18-month prison sentence. Just as well considering that in addition to the £20,000 bogusly claimed and the cost of his prosecution, a full 18 months would cost over £60,000.

Although prison may richly mark our disgust, this is absurd. I would rather he cleaned dog mess from our streets - and that would be for the full 18 months.
