Letter: Caught offside

IT IS very sad to see what should be the most elite football association in the world succumb to alleged corruption with rumours flying everywhere and Fifa's reputation in tatters (your report, 30 May).

It will take very strong management to clean up this mess and get Fifa back on to the straight and narrow if indeed this is possible as the very name of the association is now inevitably linked to corruption.
