Letter: Balerno's airfield

IT IS incorrect to state that Kirknewton Airfield is in West Lothian (your report, 25 July). The complete airfield is actually within the Balerno Community Council boundary, and is therefore within the City of Edinburgh boundary.

Please ensure this is reported properly as this new army base will have a significant impact on Balerno and there are likely to be a number of concerns and objections raised.
