Letter: Airport revolt

It seems to me that the way to kill off these charges at their inception (your report, 25 October) would be to go to the airport in large numbers on the first day/week and refuse to pay when required to.

Because of the layout of the airport there is no other way other than to proceed through the barrier and this refusal will cause a huge tailback to the main road in minutes, thus bringing the airport to a total standstill.

The ensuing chaos with hundreds of passengers being delayed for hours will no doubt cause the airport to think again and scrap this appalling scheme.
