Language puzzle

I am much puzzled that the Scottish language is regarded by many of your correspondents as a mere dialect of another language called English (Letters, 12 March).

Perhaps they will kindly translate the following example of Scots language (oops, sorry, dialect) into proper English.

"Rax me apaul o' that bubbly jock."

It is a verbatim report of a remark Her Grace the Duchess of Gordon made to an English gentleman who professed to be a thorough master of the Scottish language.
