Lack of cover

WITH regards to the Caltongate scheme planned for Edinburgh (your report, 
30 August), the missing piece is surely the inclusion in that site of a relocated bus station connected to the adjacent council headquarters and Waverley Station by a covered travelator, as in other forward-looking cities, rather than continuing for future decades to force the elderly, infirm, parents with children, tourists and others to walk the half-mile between the two stations with luggage, often in driving rain.

So much for the lip service paid by councillors to integrated transport.
