Labour’s losses

Labour in Scotland must surely be aware that in all the possible post-election scenarios being envisaged, one thing should be certain.

Many, perhaps the majority, of natural and instinctive Labour voters in Scotland who fought long and hard to keep the UK intact, would not accept any kind of deal with the SNP.

They would consider any kind of “propping up” arrangement with a Nationalist party of any kind (your report, 16 April), however loose, an unforgiveable betrayal.
