Labour hypocrisy

The Labour Party continues to claim that any seat the SNP takes from Scottish Labour in the Westminster election will give the keys of No 10 to the Tories.

Evidence clearly tells a difference story.

We currently have 40 Labour MPs in Scotland and David Cameron has the keys to No 10, revealing that Scotland voting Labour had little effect on the 2010 outcome.

This begs the question: “What difference will it make this time?”

The people of Scotland have seen through the weak opposition and hypocrisy of the Labour MPs at Westminster and it was breathtaking to hear their new Scottish leader Jim Murphy address his party conference saying: “If we don’t stand up to Tory austerity no-one else will.” Breathtaking.

This January, 28 Scottish Labour MP voted with the Tories to impose a further £75 billion of austerity cuts on the country. What hypocrisy.
