Juvenile jousts

I HAVE watched the Scottish Parliament on the BBC Parliament channel for some time now. I watched the first “debate” and shuddered. I watched again on Monday evening and felt ashamed that this dreadful display by our senior Scottish politicians was being seen by all my friends and relations down south.

Where was civilised debate and cogent argument and rebuttal? Any secondary school debating society could show them how it should be done.
