Jura ownership
Following your report (20 August) of Prime Minister David Cameron’s holiday on Jura, I would like to correct the claim that Tarbert Estate is owned by Viscount Astor. It is not.
It is owned by Ginge Manor Estates Ltd, Nassau, Bahamas.
According to William Astor, the beneficial owners are his children. Since the company is registered in the Bahamas there is no legal means of verifying this claim.
