It’s our decision

The Algerian hostage crisis may have given David Cameron a temporary reprieve from making his long-awaited speech on Britain’s relationship with Europe, but it hasn’t stopped Barack Obama from again intervening to promote America’s self-interest.

What right does he have to tell Britain that it should stay in the EU? Through a referendum, the British people may ultimately decide to stay within the EU or leave but it is a matter for them and not the leader of the “free” world.

It seems that “democracy” only applies when it suits America’s purposes and not when other people are looking for ways to preserve their independence and freedom!
