It’s a mystery

I AM struggling to believe that The Da Vinci Code was named as Scots’ favourite novel (your report, 23 May).

Firstly, I don’t think so many people would admit that this nonsense is their favourite book; surely they would be too ashamed.

And just because the book sold in huge quantities, that that does not necessarily mean people loved it.

If, however, this is true then I despair.
