Imperial measure

I’ve just watched BBC News with its coverage of the construction of the Memorial Garden at Blenheim Palace to mark the 50th anniversary of Winston Churchill’s death.

We are proudly told it is 91 metres long, one for each year of his life. I wonder what the No 1 imperialist would have made of that particular measurement?
