Ignorant drivers

Once again as I walked home crossing from North Charlotte Street to the north side of
Charlotte Square in Edinburgh this week I found myself giving way to car drivers who appear to not notice the No Entry
(except for buses, cycles and taxis) sign that should prevent them turning left from the north side of Charlotte Square on to North Charlotte Street heading north.

One driver out of the three I saw did a U-turn and the one driver I did point out his error to wasn’t that interested.

I wasn’t the only pedestrian crossing at this corner and drivers who ignore road signs are a danger to all road users.

What is the point of road signs if they are openly ignored?

Perhaps it is time for the introduction of compulsory refresher driving courses.
